Terms of use
PhormLab is a closed beta operated by one person. Using it means accepting the terms below. They are short on purpose — where a sentence here disagrees with what the software does, the software is the bug.
Who may use it
- Access is by invitation. An account belongs to one person and is not to be shared or passed on.
- You need a Strava account and you connect it yourself. You can disconnect it again at any time, from your Strava settings or by deleting your PhormLab account.
- You must be old enough to enter into a contract where you live, and to hold a Strava account.
Training plans are not medical advice
PhormLab computes training suggestions from your own figures. It is software, not a coach and not a doctor. Training recommendations are yours to follow at your own responsibility — if something hurts, see a doctor. Do not use the application to decide anything about an injury, an illness or a medication.
What you may not do
- Get at data that is not yours, or try to.
- Scrape the application, drive it with a bot, or call it in a way that puts load on the server or on the Strava API beyond normal use.
- Resell what you get out of it, or pass Strava data on to third parties.
Strava
PhormLab reads your activities through the Strava API and writes nothing back. It is an independent application: not developed by Strava, not sponsored by Strava and not otherwise connected to Strava. Your use of Strava itself stays subject to Strava's own terms.
The state of the software
This is a beta. It is provided as it is, without a guarantee that it is available, correct or free of defects. Data can be lost, a computed figure can be wrong, and a feature can change or disappear between one day and the next. Liability is limited to intent and gross negligence, and to what cannot be excluded by law.
Ending it
You can delete your account at any time, from your profile; the data is gone from the database immediately. The beta can be closed, and an account can be withdrawn, with notice where that is possible — for abuse, without.
Changes and contact
These terms can change while the beta runs. A change that matters is announced before it takes effect. Questions go to the person who invited you — in a closed beta that is the same person who operates the server and wrote the code.
